Masculine

I needed a "farewell" card for one of the guys at work. I'd seen metal embossed before and wanted to give it a try. I used my cuttlebug. The brads on the four corners look like screws. I sanded the background paper with sandpaper for a rugged look.

HUGS AND KISSES

I THOUGHT THIS IMAGE WOULD MAKE A GOOD THANK YOU CARD. SOMETHING DIFFERENT WITH THE CIRCLE SHAPE. THE IMAGE IS FROM SQUIGGLEFLY
I MADE A SET OF 5 FOR MY FRIEND TO GO WITH THE COCOA MIX I MADE AS PART OF HER CHRISTMAS GIFT. I USED LIQUID APPLIQUE ON THE MARSHMALLOWS.

Blue Christmas

I love these colors together. Red and blue for christmas? Who would have thought. Think this little girl from Pollycraft is so cute. Used chunky glitter on bottom of dress. Layout is from Mojo Monday a while back. Colors are so bright and different for the Christmas season.

With Sympathy

This is an awesome stamp that my Divine Secret Sister over on Splitcoaststampers sent me. I love it. I used it to make this sympathy card for my husbands grandma who recently lost her brother. It was part of a set. There is another stamp of a little girl holding a pot of flowers that I have an awesome idea for. Ever heard of "flower soft"? No? Well.......stay tuned.

I MADE THIS CARD FOR A FRIENDS ANNIVERSARY. MY NEW ADDICTION SEEMS TO BE DIGI STAMPS. WELL.......ALONG THE WAY I STUMBLED UPON A WEBSITE THAT'S ACTUALLY A COLORING SITE FOR KIDS. THEY HAVE TONS OF COLORING PAGES THAT CAN EASILY BE RESIZED AND COLORED LIKE DIGI STAMPS. ANYWAY, THAT'S WHAT I DID. THERE ARE MANY OTHER PRECIOUS MOMENTS IMAGES ON THE SITE AS WELL. I CUT "LOVE" WITH MY CRICUT. A SILVER ORGANZA RIBBON ON THE TOP RIGHT AND 3 SMALL PEARLS ON THE BOTTOM LEFT. NEEDLESS TO SAY I FOUND MANY OTHER IMAGES TO MAKE CARDS WITH. THEY WILL BE POPPING UP ON MY BLOG SOON. SORRY THE IMAGE IS A LITTLE HAZY. MY BATTERY IN MY CAMERA SO I HAD TO USE MY PHONE.

Happy 1st Birthday

Mom asked me to make a card for a little girl who was turning one. This is what I came up with. I love the girly paper base. The "one" and "1" were cut with my cricut. You gotta love pink and brown together. They go together like chocolate and peanut butter, cookies and milk, pizza and...... You get the idea :-)

Forever.......

This was a technique challenge on splitcoast. Something different. I used the stampin up emboss folder for this one. Forever is cut out using my cricut. The butterflies are ..... again.....Martha Stewart punch. I know, I know, enough with the butterflies already. Sorry, I have some kind of obsession. Yes, I used the rhinestones on the center of the butterflies. Colored with prisma pencils and Gamsol.

Christmas Wreath

Trying to get into the Christmas spirit. Still in summer mode even though the leaves here are already changing. I suppose I should make some Halloween and Thanksgiving cards first ......but I just love this digital stamp from Squigglefly. Used Prisma pencils and Gamsol to color this one. I used crystal lacquer on the berries.

Welcome Home

Mom needed a "new house" card and I had seen this pattern on splitcoast and I have been waiting to use it. I love the way it turned out. It was time consuming but pretty easy. It was compliments of Cynthia Snoddy's template which I can't seem to find now. Good thing I print every template I like. The windows are made with vellum and I used my scor-pal to put the lines on them. Tiny brads for door knobs. It opens in the middle.

I've always wanted to make a card like this with squares but had trouble getting my squares the same size. Well, thanks to the Cuttlebug and spellbinders nestabilities templates I can make them the same exact size. Bright and colorful card.

Love and Prayers

Love squigglefly- another digital stamp!! Flowers are always good cause you can color them to match anything. In this case I colored them to match the coordinating papers I got at Target in the $1 section. The matching brads are also from Target. It's hard to see in the picture but I used a glitter pen, given to me by a friend (thanks Bev :-) I put it on one edge of the petals for a finishing touch.

The WOW card pattern

The perfect WOW! card. I love this tri-shutter card pattern. It's perfect for a gift card holder. The middle piece fits a gift card perfectly! It's soooo fun to create this card. All the panels make it very interesting. Love these motor cross stickers! How perfect for a 13 year old boy. I'm really happy with this way this one turned out. The colors are so vibrant. The 13 was cut with my cricut. I got the pattern directions for this design at Splitcoast.

Thanks Coach!

YES, IT'S A CARD!! I found this template on splitcoast. How cute is it!! My son is on the Cubs Cal Ripkin Jr. little league team. The season is over and the coach is having a BBQ at his house tomorrow. I made this card for him. I sponged the whole thing with blue ink to give it a realistic look. I cut the brim out a second time and double layered it. This also helped make it look more 3D. The "C" was cut out with my cricut keystone cartridge. I love how it turned out. I found the template for this here.

It's a BOY and GIRL

New arrivals!! A previous co-worker had a baby girl and a current co-worker had a baby boy and I thought what better gift than Thank You cards. I made sets of 5. Bella in all her glory. I love this stamp. I actually have one of the couple but with a pregnant belly on bella. Say that 3 times fast LOL. I like this style card it's real simple. It fits into a standard invitation envelope. The card itself is a bit smaller and the top is just a circle punch attached above the card. Just something a little different for a change. I added the names of the babies near the image.

Flower Pot

This was found on....where else.....splitcoast
You pull up on the flowers to reveal a small card tucked in the pot for writing on. It fits into a standard invitation envelope. The flowers were cut using my cricut doodlecharm cartridge. The dragonfly is a brad. Would make a cute invitation for a bridal shower or birthday.

Happy Birthday

This is an old Close to my Heart (formerly D.O.T.S) stamp. Yes, it's one big stamp. I love it cause it's so easy and quick. Perfect for kids birthdays - and with an 8 year old they definitely come in handy!! Lots of different coloring options. I also thought that the letters could be paper pieced with a masculine print and the stars could be covered with anything.

Pets leave paw prints on your heart

Sadly we had to say "Goodbye" to our beloved dog, Phoebe this week. The house just isn't the same without her!! The vet that we have is fabulous. I brought them some chocolate and this card. It says "Pets leave paw prints on our hearts" The small card went with a framed poem for the vet himself which unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of. The dog was cut using my cricut (doodlecharms). It's difficult to tell in the picture but the red paper behind the dog is embossed with the cuttlebug (paw prints).

GRADUATION CARD - GIFT BOX

Looks like a graduation cap at first glance. But... it's actually a gift box just perfect for a gift of money or a gift card. I loved the look of the top of the cap but I wanted to make it a bit more 3D - so I added a box to the bottom. The little piece that says celebrate flips up and the box opens . I got the tassels at Michaels and the Superior High School Spartans paper at the local scrapbook store. Perfect to hold the check for my little cousins graduation gift. The "Class of 2009" was cut with my cricut.
