HAPPY FATHER'S DAY - Super Dad

OK, I HAD TO THROW ONE LAST FATHER'S DAY CARD IN HERE. THIS IS ANOTHER ONE FROM BUGABOO. I'M SO BLESSED TO HAVE THE BEST DAD IN THE WORLD. I COULDN'T ASK TO BE MARRIED TO A BETTER FATHER EITHER. WE WENT OUT FOR LUNCH AND THEN WENT MINI GOLFING TODAY AFTER STOPPING BY TO SPEND SOME TIME WITH MY DAD. IT WAS AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SUMMER DAY. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY.

Daddy's girl

Tiddly Inks has some adorable images. I saw this one and fell in love. How adorable!! If this doesn't SCREAM "Happy Father's Day" I don't know what does!! I paper pieced the shirt and tie with coordinating papers. Then added more of the tie patterned paper on the card itself and added the circles in coordinating colors to tie it together. The little metal title says "Dad" on the ribbon on the top of the card. I added the feather to pull out the feather in the had in the image.

A sprinkle of Pixie Dust

Have you visited Pixie Dust Studio lately?
They have some NEW items.
CUTE, CUTE, CUTE
I just love this one of the father and son.
Perfect for Father's Day or even for a
favorite uncle.
And the cute little pea images - OMG.
I saw a balloon recently with a pea pod on it and
the sentiment was "Get Well Peas"
How cute is that???
The second card is entered in the Pixie Dust Challenge.

Happy Father's Day

I absolutely adore this digital stamp!! When I saw this I thought it was absolutely perfect for my husband. He is the best Dad in the whole world. He is sooo patient with our son and literally teaches him everything he knows. They are like two peas in a pod. My son thinks my husband walks on water and I wouldn't have it any other way. This image is so perfect. Alex is always right there to grab whatever Scott needs at the time. He knows more tools than I could ever think of knowing. I plan to give this one to my hubby for Father's Day.

Digi Shack sketch challenge

Time for another sketch challenge at
I have always loved horses. They are so beautiful.
I took a masculine approach again this week.
Used the cuttlebug to emboss the green strip,
distressed it with sand paper
then inked it up a bit to make it look rugid.
Some twine and more distressing/inking
Voila, manly-ness (ha new word, just made that up).
So, get crackin' and make your card
then click over to The Digi Shack and
link up your masterpiece.

SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT!!!!

SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT. COLORING SKILLS A LITTLE UNPOLISHED. HAVING TROUBLE MAKING AN IMAGE POP?? WELL....EVER TRY PRINTED OUR DIGIS ON DESIGN PAPER? WELL, THAT'S JUST WHAT I DID ABOVE, TWICE ACTUALLY. THE LAMP IS CUT OUT OF ONE PIECE OF DP AND THE CHAIR, ANOTHER. THE BACKGROUND PAPER IS TEXTURED. I HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH THIS. I FIRST PRINTED THE IMAGE ON THE BG PAPER THEN ON WATERCOLOR PAPER AND COLORED THE LEGS AND THE POPCORN BOWL, REMOTE AND HAND AND THE LAMP POLE. THEN I PRINTED ON EACH PIECE OF DP AND CUT OUT THE CHAIR AND LAMP SHADE. I FOUND THAT IT WORKS BEST IF YOU CUT ON THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE OUTLINE OF THE IMAGE. SO EASY, SO SIMPLE, SO STRIKING. GIVE IT A TRY THEN GO CHECK OUT WHAT THE AWESOME DESIGN TEAM DID WITH THEIR DESIGN PAPER AT THE DIGI SHACK STORE - HERE. LEAVE A COMMENT AND LINK YOUR IMAGES IN YOUR COMMENT SO WE CAN ALL GO CHECK THEM OUT AND LEAVE YOU SOME BLOG LOVE.

HAPPY DESIGNING.

I have to admit....I cased this one too. Plan is to give it to my Grandpa on Father's Day. He is always in a button shirt and tie. Thought that paper made the perfect tie pattern. The tie clip is made with a paper clip that I bent.

My Dad is very gifted with wood. He has built many beautiful pieces of furniture, etc. I found this pattern here. Perfect Father's Day card!! The tools are Jolee's and I used black brads for the sides and top. It's hard to tell from the picture but I sponged the brown paper with Tim Holtz Distressed Ink to give it an aged look.
