My first Aud Sentiments challenge card

My very first Aud Sentiments

challenge card :)

This image and the challenge this time is

sponsored by

Squigglefly

a company that's near and dear to me

as I'm a previous DT member.

They have an awesome variety of images

by many different artists,

all with their own unique talent.

So pop over for a chance to win some

Squigglefly images.

Why digi?

Have you heard the news?

There are 3 new artists over at Squigglefly

AND THEY ARE FABULOUS!

Suzanne Urban, Marlene S, and Brian Lock

The image above is one of Brian Lock's

The image you will find over at the store

looks a little different.

That's because I changed it a bit.

This is one of the many reasons I LOVE DIGI'S

I used white out to remove the bird that

sits on top of the snowman's nose.

I wanted more of a winter feel to the card

and the hat on the bird made the image too

Christmas-ey for this card. I also used white out to

remove the lines on the scarf and hat

so that I could paper piece the image on design paper.

And THAT my friends, is why digi...

Don't forget to go check out this week's challenge

and enter for a chance to win :)

SQUIGGLEFLY CHALLENGE

I LOVE PAPER PIECING

One of my favorite techniques is paper piecing!

If you have a patterned paper that you are particularly

fond of but just don't seem to have the right color markers

or pencils...etc, this is the perfect thing to do.

I love this paper but no matter how I colored the image it

just wasn't working for me. So I just ran the patterned paper

through my printer - printing the image on it

cut the image out and "pieced" it together

easy peasy lemon squeezy....

as my son would say :)

The challenge over at Squigglefly this week

is "Dance" to be interpreted anyway you like.

I love this quote and the image just "fit".

So get crackin' go create and upload to the blog

for a chance to win.

HAPPY PAPER CRAFTING C:

Squigglefly challenge

Squigglefly's challenge

this week is to use your favorite embellishment.

Mine is Flower Soft.

You must try this product, it's the bomb!!

It's great for scarfs and with winter coming

you know we'll be coloring a lot of scarfs.

The grey/black paper on the left hand side of the card

is coordinates paper. the core is a different color

or a lighter version of the top color so when

embossed and sanded it gives this effect.

It's pretty neat stuff. I discovered a way

to make your own paper just like this.

Come back on Wednesday for details.

First Squigglefly Chanllenge - Anything goes

This is my first official challenge card for Squigglefly.

Remember they add new images every Saturday.

This is kind of an oldie but a goodie.

Can't type much, cause I burnt my thumb lighting a sparkler tonight

Yowza, that hurt.

Hope it doesn't affect my stamping much.

Due to summer vacation and school being out

for my son, I don't get nearly as much done :(

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I pledge allegiance

Happy 4th of July!! I'm very passionate about The Pledge of Allegiance. I strongly feel that it needs to be said in schools every morning just like it did when I was in grade school.

Right now over at Squigglefly, they are having a sale on some adorable 4th of July images including this one. Also, they have started their group on Paper Craft Planet. You can join them here. We are only 8 away from having 300 followers. When we hit 300 there will be a 30% off code for purchases. So, please go "follow" and get the great discount price. To celebrate their group addition, this weekend they are having a huge PARTY. The celebration will take place from July 2 thru July 4. There will be freebies, challenges and much more!! You don't want to miss this.

Squigglefly has new releases EVERY Saturday. This Saturday they will be releasing images by some new artists - Joni Walker and Revi Devi.

We've added a great new feature to the MySquigglefly section. Now, in addition to viewing your rewards balance, you can also view your purchase history. Re-download images any time you need without having to write an email for support. How cool is that??

So.......don't forget to check out the PCP group this weekend and check out the new releases on Saturday over at SQUIGGLEFLY.

Thanks Dad

We are so very lucky to have such wonderful parents. They are our "day care" and sooooo much more!! My Dad is always there when I need him. He would do anything for me. I gave my Mom a "thanks for all you do" card a couple months ago and when I saw this digital stamp I thought it was absolutely PERFECT!! It's from Squigglefly Check them out the have awesome images!! Oh, the paper came from the $1 section at Target. I love paper packs because everything is color coordinated for you.

Slow but steady

This is another digital stamp purchased from Squigglefly.com. When I saw this cuttlebug folder the first thing that came to mind was "turtle" My son recently did a book report on "The tortoise and the hare" which gave me the sentiment idea. I think this turtle is soooooo stinkin' cute!!
