Anything But a Card

My turn for Bugaboo's
Anything But a Card project
and with Mother's Day fast approaching
I thought this was a really cute idea.
Would be cute to have the kids color it as well.
Color, Cut and attach to a piece of a thin dowel
and stick in your plant or flower pot.
Could even add a personalized sign on a stick too.
I've used this idea before as well.
Check out the "gift ideas" label on my sidebar for
similar ideas.

Tutorial

I'm going to show you how to make an ornament for
your Christmas Tree using Bugaboo images

First choose your paper and wood
then trace the wood on the paper and cut it out
(I bought wood circles at Michaels and had my husband drill a hole in them)

Then glue your paper to the wood on both sides

Then sponge the edges to disguise any flaws

Next choose your Bugaboo image, color it and cut it out

Finally glue the image to the wood and add any embellishments

Add your ribbon and your finished ;)

Go to the Catch the Bug blog to see what the other
Design Team members have come up with.

Bugaboo's ABaC

I saw these little mini kleenex boxes at
Michaels and thought
how great Stella would look on them.
Just a fun little gift to give someone who
is not feeling well.
Very easy to make really,
just cover the sides with Cardstock all
decorated to your liking.
Could put it in a nice basket with some
chicken noodle soup and crackers,
maybe some cough drops and vicks.
Sure to put a smile on that sickies face :P

Halloween challenge

Time for another Bugaboo challenge
get all the deets at
This cute little candy dispenser
was a gift for my son last Halloween.
I saved it with intentions to do something
crafy.  When Jodie released this skelekinz...
it was like she knew exactly what I needed.
I have seen these little dispensers at Michaels too
in case anyone is interested.
So put your thinking caps on and come up with
a 3D Halloween project and enter for a chance to win.

Anything But a card ABaC Monday at Bugaboo

I made this to give to my nieces Mom
when my niece is born in October.
Love these little girls - they were
freebies a while back
but now they're available in the shop.
I took dowels and wrapped them with
green florist tape and then put
the scallop circles on the tops with the digital
images on top of them.  Super EASY!

This little guy is part of the AKV set

paper then sponged some black ink on it
to make it resemble a rock.

ABaC Monday

It's anything but a card day at
I made this for a friend who quilts (and stamps).
The little silver charm is a spool of thread.
I found the sentiment online.
The "question of the day" at Bugaboo
is "what is your favorite cardstock color"
Go see what the awesome Design Team said.
Remember tomorrow at Bugaboo
is new release day.
You DON'T want to miss this.

Happy Birthday Grandma

I made this set of cards for my Grandma's Birthday gift. I just love these little fairies. So sweet. I got the paper at the $1 store. I think there were 5 sheets and it was all coordinated.... gotta love that. The images are Lilybean from Pollycraft. One of my favorite digi companies. I colored them with Prisma pencils and gamsol. I'm thinking about buying some Copics, I've heard good things about them. What do you think? Worth the money? Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts :-) Entered in the Cute Daisy May challenge.

Happy printing!

Coffee Anyone?

I made this for a girl I work with - for her Birthday. She loves coffee and when I saw this card I thought it was perfect!!! I got the template here. Could be used for coffee, tea or cocoa. I got the little packets of instant coffee at Target on clearance. They are "Starbucks" I guess you can buy them there too. Then I took a can of Maxwell House International Coffee. I covered it with paper and decorated with Hero Arts stamps. I decorated the Stampin Up box and filled it with coffee, caramel and rum candy. It was fun to make and she loved it.

GRADUATION CARD - GIFT BOX

Looks like a graduation cap at first glance. But... it's actually a gift box just perfect for a gift of money or a gift card. I loved the look of the top of the cap but I wanted to make it a bit more 3D - so I added a box to the bottom. The little piece that says celebrate flips up and the box opens . I got the tassels at Michaels and the Superior High School Spartans paper at the local scrapbook store. Perfect to hold the check for my little cousins graduation gift. The "Class of 2009" was cut with my cricut.
