truth to this statement :)

I made this card for a co-worker who had

surgery and then came to our rehab floor for

some short term inpatient rehab.

"Think of all the work you'll get done."

We even made a little work area complete

with a faux laptop in her room

to get some "work" done while there recovering.

I saw these little mini kleenex boxes at 

Michaels and thought

how great Stella would look on them.

Just a fun little gift to give someone who 

is not feeling well.  

Very easy to make really,

just cover the sides with Cardstock all

decorated to your liking.

Could put it in a nice basket with some

chicken noodle soup and crackers,

maybe some cough drops and vicks.

Sure to put a smile on that sickies face :P

Feeling ill....

Ok.....so I broke my arm.

And - no, I'd like to say that I slipped on the ice

but.....

I was actually stepping over the puppy gate

which we had temporarily put back up and my slipper 

got caught on it causing me to fall to the floor.

It's a radial head fracture which....due to it's 

placement near the elbow, they don't immobilize

for long because doing so will cause your elbow to

"freeze up" on you.  I had a splint for 2 days and a sling for 7

I've been without the sling now for 1-1/2 weeks.  I even

went back to work yesterday.  I have several restrictions however,

no lifting, repetitive movement, or weight bearing through

that arm.  And wouldn't you know, it's my right arm and being

right handed has made life extremely difficult.

THE WORST PART OF ALL.....

I COULDN'T MAKE CARDS!!!!!

REALLY??  COULDN'T IT HAVE BEEN MY LEG OR 

SOMETHING.  WHAT FUN IS IT TO BE OFF OF

WORK FOR OVER 2 WEEKS AND NOT BE ABLE TO

MAKE ANY CARDS!!!

I'M HAVING SERIOUS WITHDRAWL SYMPTOMS

HERE!!!

Feel Better

My friend had a minor procedure done a few weeks ago and I made her this little "thinking of you" treat. She loves good n plenty and I thought they looked like pills. I love this (well, ok - EVERY) image from BUGABOO. The inside sentiment (came with the image) says "Are you a bad side effect of my medication?" She loved it :)

MADE THIS ONE FOR MY FRIEND'S HUSBAND AFTER HE HAD KNEE SURGERY. BASICALLY TELLING HIM TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE LOUNGING. THE DIGITAL IMAGE IS FROM THE DIGI SHACK. THE PAPER WAS ONE OF THOSE 12 X 12 SHEETS THAT COMES WITH 4 DIFFERENT PATTERNS.....LOVE THOSE!! MAKES CARD MAKING SOOOO EASY. ALL THE COORDINATING IS DONE FOR YOU.

Butterfly wishes

Saw this paper and fell in love!! You know me, I love my butterflies! The pink butterflies are with my favorite Martha Stewart punch with gems in the center as well as on the lower right hand corner. Love the bright colors. The inside says "you'd be feeling better already".
