Feelin' Prickley?

This stamp set is from Prickley Pear
I just love how this card turned out!!
I punched out a circle, then stamped
and embossed the image with white embossing powder
then took a sponge dauber and dabbed it in
some black ink.  With a circular movement
I went over the images with a paper towel
to buff the embossed image through and make them pop out.
Then I layered that on top of a scallop circle.
And embellished the center of the flowers with brads.
stamps: Prickley Pear
Brads: making memories
Paper: Target

Prickley Pear

I feel in love with this butterfly stamp from Prickley Pear.
It has snowflakes on it.
The technique I used is one I found on Splitcoaststampers.
It's called Black Magic.
I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Prickley Pear

Merry Christmas!
I made this card with an image from
I just love this paper.
I used a nestability to cut out the image.
I love that ribbon too.
It's big but it has wire in the sides
so you can shape it which makes ribbon
making easier.
There are little pearls on the
scalloped ends.

Stamps: Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps
die: nestabilities
miscellaneous wired ribbon
miscellaneous pearl accents

Prickley Pear

I thought a little break from the Holiday Madness
might be nice.
This is a card I made for Prickley Pear to showcase
one of their "heart" stamps.
I love this paper. Hard to see in the picture but
the silver is very bright. Thought it would be
a nice break from the red that's usually
associated with hearts.

Prickley Pear leaves

I made this with a leaves stamp from Prickley Pear.
I've had this paper for a long time and I love it
but just couldn't seem to find the right card for it.
I stumbled on this technique on youtube and thought it
would be perfect. This is the second card I've made with this
technique. Check out the purple, black, etc. a few posts down. It's
a Halloween card with a cat on it.
You stamp the image on the paper of your choice with
Versamark ink. Then emboss with clear embossing powder.
Then take a dauber with your black ink on it and just make
circular motions over and around the stamped image.
Then buff out the embossed image with a cloth.
Stay tuned to the Prickley Pear blog
we hope to have some challenges coming up....

Prickley Pear Pumpkins

Isn't this fun?
You can find the tutorial here.
I made this with Prickley Pears pumpkin
stamp/die set. I just love it!!
Cut out pumpkin shape and stamp -- perfect!!
The leaves on the border of the card are also
Prickley Pear.
Interesting and easy!!

PPRS "black" cat

I made this card with a
Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp.
An easy technique actually.
I stamped the cat on a piece of patterned paper
with Versamark ink then embossed it with clear
embossing powder. Then I took a sponge
dauber rubbed with black ink and rubbed in
circular motions around and over the stamped
image. After that I rubbed the image itself over
with a paper towel which cleaned it up and buffed it
out a bit making it pop off the paper. Now you
can see the patterned paper design in the background.
So easy!! Then I cut it out with nestabilities die and
finished layering my card. I tied the black ribbon
in a knot and thought, "that looks like a bat" so
there you go.....3 black bats to accent the card.
The "Goulish Greetings" sentiment is PPRS too.
This won't be the last time you see me use this
technique!

Stamps: Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps
Ribbon: Miscellaneous black ribbon
Paper: We R Memory Keepers
Die: Nestabilities

CARD PATTERNS SKETCH WITH PPRS

My card for the CARD PATTERNS SKETCH
this week. Using PPRS.
I used the stamp and die set (pumpkin) to
cut out and stamp the leaves that I hung from
embroidery floss.
I cut the sentiment (PPRS)
out with a new nestabilities die.

GOING BATTY WITH PPRS

This card was so incredibly easy to make.
The bat stamp is a new
I stamped it on patterned paper that was
in a set from the Target $1 section.
I simply stamped the bat in black over the paper
with words, layered that onto orange
cardstock then placed that on the star
background paper which was layered on top
of the actual orange card.
I cut out the stars using my Cricut.
sponged the sides of everything with
black ink to help soften it.
Tied the ribbon on the top and
Viola - Done!

Paper: Scrapbooking Supplies (Target $1 section), The Paper Company
Ribbon: Scrapbooking Supplies (Target $1 section)
Ink: Archival Versafine

PPRS Jack-o-lantern

Have you seen the
This jack-o-lantern set is just
ONE example. There are several
others including butterflies :)
this set comes with the leaf that I used on my
card two posts down. There are these 2 faces that
you can put on them and there is two "scene" stamps
you can use as well. You just cut out the pumpkin using
the die on your cuttlebug (or similar tool) then
STAMP IT!!
How easy is that. No tedious cutting with scissors
the time consuming part is done for you with the die.
