Butterfly wishes

Saw this paper and fell in love!! You know me, I love my butterflies! The pink butterflies are with my favorite Martha Stewart punch with gems in the center as well as on the lower right hand corner. Love the bright colors. The inside says "you'd be feeling better already".

Thanks Coach!

YES, IT'S A CARD!! I found this template on splitcoast. How cute is it!! My son is on the Cubs Cal Ripkin Jr. little league team. The season is over and the coach is having a BBQ at his house tomorrow. I made this card for him. I sponged the whole thing with blue ink to give it a realistic look. I cut the brim out a second time and double layered it. This also helped make it look more 3D. The "C" was cut out with my cricut keystone cartridge. I love how it turned out. I found the template for this here.

Thanks Dad

We are so very lucky to have such wonderful parents. They are our "day care" and sooooo much more!! My Dad is always there when I need him. He would do anything for me. I gave my Mom a "thanks for all you do" card a couple months ago and when I saw this digital stamp I thought it was absolutely PERFECT!! It's from Squigglefly Check them out the have awesome images!! Oh, the paper came from the $1 section at Target. I love paper packs because everything is color coordinated for you.

It's a BOY and GIRL

New arrivals!! A previous co-worker had a baby girl and a current co-worker had a baby boy and I thought what better gift than Thank You cards. I made sets of 5. Bella in all her glory. I love this stamp. I actually have one of the couple but with a pregnant belly on bella. Say that 3 times fast LOL. I like this style card it's real simple. It fits into a standard invitation envelope. The card itself is a bit smaller and the top is just a circle punch attached above the card. Just something a little different for a change. I added the names of the babies near the image.

Flower Pot

This was found on....where else.....splitcoast
You pull up on the flowers to reveal a small card tucked in the pot for writing on. It fits into a standard invitation envelope. The flowers were cut using my cricut doodlecharm cartridge. The dragonfly is a brad. Would make a cute invitation for a bridal shower or birthday.

Happy Birthday

This is an old Close to my Heart (formerly D.O.T.S) stamp. Yes, it's one big stamp. I love it cause it's so easy and quick. Perfect for kids birthdays - and with an 8 year old they definitely come in handy!! Lots of different coloring options. I also thought that the letters could be paper pieced with a masculine print and the stars could be covered with anything.

Pets leave paw prints on your heart

Sadly we had to say "Goodbye" to our beloved dog, Phoebe this week. The house just isn't the same without her!! The vet that we have is fabulous. I brought them some chocolate and this card. It says "Pets leave paw prints on our hearts" The small card went with a framed poem for the vet himself which unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of. The dog was cut using my cricut (doodlecharms). It's difficult to tell in the picture but the red paper behind the dog is embossed with the cuttlebug (paw prints).

The way things are

I made this card for my boss at work who suddenly got "layed off". The sentiment reads "Things turn out best for those who make the best of the way things turned out" the little butterflies have bling in the middle of them.

GRADUATION CARD - GIFT BOX

Looks like a graduation cap at first glance. But... it's actually a gift box just perfect for a gift of money or a gift card. I loved the look of the top of the cap but I wanted to make it a bit more 3D - so I added a box to the bottom. The little piece that says celebrate flips up and the box opens . I got the tassels at Michaels and the Superior High School Spartans paper at the local scrapbook store. Perfect to hold the check for my little cousins graduation gift. The "Class of 2009" was cut with my cricut.

A Bella Hello

Don't ya just love Bella!!! I must say she's lovely. Bella has quickly become a favorite stamp company of mine. Plus -- they just came out with a bella die for cuttlebug and the like. How cool is that!!! They are going to come out with clothing dies for her now. Can't wait! This patterned paper came in a 12x12 sheet. 4 - 6x6 squares that coordinate. Makes for easy and fast card making!! Happy Stamping :-)

Color combo

I think these colors (olive green and brown) are my new favorite color combo. This is from the inspired by nature stamp set from SU. The cattails on the tops are cut using the small slot punch - also from SU. I know, I know......more butterflies........I seem to have a fixation on them. LOL! They are from a Martha Stewart punch that I have.

Mojo Monday week 88

Layout courtesy of MOJO MONDAY. I recently heard about digital stamps and was intrigued. I did a little "googling" and found Squigglefly - they have the cutest images!! I just love this chubby bird!! I saw this birdie paper and I fell in love with it. At the time I had no idea what I was going to do with it. Then I saw this image and jackpot!!

Slow but steady

This is another digital stamp purchased from Squigglefly.com. When I saw this cuttlebug folder the first thing that came to mind was "turtle" My son recently did a book report on "The tortoise and the hare" which gave me the sentiment idea. I think this turtle is soooooo stinkin' cute!!

Accessorize or exercise??

I purchased this digital stamp from Squigglefly.com. I recently heard about digital stamps and did a little goggling :) and found them. Very cute stamps - very much my style!! This is a birthday card intended for my sister-in-law. Hard to tell in the picture but there are rhinestones on the earrings, bracelet, purse, shirt buttons and 3 on the bottom left hand corner.

Gift Card Holder

This is the tri-shutter technique challenge (directions here) I stumbled across on Splitcoast
I decided to make it a gift card holder. It is so cool how it folds up and fits into a invitation envelope. The middle is where the holder is. There is an itunes gift card in there. It's for my niece.

Tea anyone?

I love how this turned out. Tea cup template was found on Splitcoast
I used a boarder punch for the top of the cup. I sponged the edges with pink ink. The vine on the front is actually a rub-on. I had the little teacup charm in my stash. This will be a Birthday card for my husband's grandma.

Birthday wish

Another card with my cuttlebug. Embossing is on vellum on the bottom part of card. The wish is from the wild card cricut cartridge.

CUTTLEBUG THANK YOU

This was made with my new cuttlebug embossing folder. I ran it through the cuttlebug and rubbed the ink pad over the top of it to highlight the embossed part. I love this ribbon. It's wired ribbon and easy to form. So very simple and easy.

The sun will come out tomorrow

This looked like a puddle boot to me. I found it here. I made it for a friend who has been having a difficult time lately. "The sun will come out tomorrow". A friend of ours had a pair of rubber boots that were real bright and colorful (fit her personality) I knew this would make her smile.

How are YOU feeling?

I saw these 7 dwarf stickers at Michaels and this idea popped into my head. I layered a couple times and used brads at the bottom. Along the very top of the card (difficult to see) I used my Scor-pal and roller (a roller that leaves holes along your project to give it a "stitched look" You line the roller up with the lines on the scor-pal for perfect lines. It's pretty neat. I've actually had the roller for quite a while but found that it didn't really work that well by itself. I saw on the internet that they could be used together and whala - perfect lines. I'm glad I didn't get rid of it.
