As you know....it's "four legged friend" week

at Paper Popsicles.

I just love this image! It makes me smile every time.

Get this....the paper bag.....authentic - LOL

I ran a piece of paper bag through my printer/copier

and printed the image on it. Then I cut out the

paper bag part and glued it on the paper.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy (as my 9 year old would say)

Digi Shack sketch challenge

Monday - so you know what that means. Another freebie available at Paper Popsicles.

The theme this week is "four legged friends" so get out those animal stamps and get crackin'! Dogs, cats, farm animals......TURTLES. I do love turtles. My parents have a pond and every year "Biggie and Jr" come back "home" to spend the summer. This has been a tradition since my son was about 3. One of these days he's going to look at us all and say...."how dumb do you think I am?I know Nana gets the turtles from the lady she works with" who happens to live in the country - so her son catches the turtles in the spring and releases them in the fall. But for now.....mums the word. I love this embossing folder, I think it's perfect for a turtle shell and what better sentiment than "The tortoise and the hare" Perfect belated Birthday card! Cardstock week at Paper Popsicles

It's cardstock week over at Paper Popsicles.

I layered the bright colors of cardstock behind the image

I added silver dots to the center of some of the flowers

then added silver embellishments to the corners

to put it all together.

I found this template at splitcoaststampers awhile back and finally got to use it. Is this not just ADORABLE. It was posted on splitcoast by Lori - check out her site here. It's difficult to see in the photo but the black paper is dry embossed with lines on it. I dry embossed the dress with a SU emboss folder. I used brads for the buttons and embellished the dress with pearls. Such a fun card to make.

Spring flowers at Paper Popsicles

The sky is falling

My parents ceiling in their bathroom literally fell. There was a leak in the upstairs bathroom which caused the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom to fall. What a mess!!! Luckily a friend of theirs is a plumber and he came over to assess the situation and try to determine what was wrong and just how to fix it. My Mom asked me to make a card to thank him for coming to their rescue. As soon as she asked me I knew that this Bugaboo image was just perfect!!! I added a little pile of "ceiling" for added effect. There is little droplets of water falling from the sentiment too.

Angel - Thank You

This is a card I made for the Chaplain at work. She helped me through a difficult issue at work. She is the sweetest, kindest person. She stayed after hours to help me and I wanted to show my appreciation. The angels (I love them) are from CTMH. I used prisma pencils and gamsol to color with stickled wings. I found this Thank You poem online.

Feel Better

My friend had a minor procedure done a few weeks ago and I made her this little "thinking of you" treat. She loves good n plenty and I thought they looked like pills. I love this (well, ok - EVERY) image from BUGABOO. The inside sentiment (came with the image) says "Are you a bad side effect of my medication?" She loved it :)
