I just love this image! It makes me smile every time.

Get this....the paper bag.....authentic - LOL

I ran a piece of paper bag through my printer/copier

and printed the image on it. Then I cut out the

paper bag part and glued it on the paper.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy (as my 9 year old would say)

The theme this week is "four legged friends" so get out those animal stamps and get crackin'! Dogs, cats, farm animals......TURTLES. I do love turtles. My parents have a pond and every year "Biggie and Jr" come back "home" to spend the summer. This has been a tradition since my son was about 3. One of these days he's going to look at us all and say...."how dumb do you think I am?I know Nana gets the turtles from the lady she works with" who happens to live in the country - so her son catches the turtles in the spring and releases them in the fall. But for now.....mums the word. I love this embossing folder, I think it's perfect for a turtle shell and what better sentiment than "The tortoise and the hare" Perfect belated Birthday card! I layered the bright colors of cardstock behind the image

I added silver dots to the center of some of the flowers

then added silver embellishments to the corners

to put it all together.

The Digi Shack Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! Today is sketch challenge Wednesday over at THE DIGI SHACK .

The sketch is above and below that is the card I made with it.

I love sketch challenges. Have you ever sat down to make a card

only to realize that your MOJO is missing? Well, a sketch is the best

and fastest way to find it again. The work is basically done for you.

Just pick your image and paper and start putting it together.

I even keep a small notepad in my purse to sketch on if

I have a creative moment. I colored the snail with prisma pencils.

The brown piece of paper was run through my cuttlebug then sanded

a little for some added texture and depth. It's kind of masculine

looking too with the colors.

the existing (drawn on) ribbon then printed it again and added

my own "real life" ribbon. Ahhh, the versatility of digital stamps :-)

I loved this celery green and lavender paper and thought it would make a great Easter card.

Home - Paper Popsicles challenge

I made this card for the "Home" themed challenge over at Paper Popsicles. I cut strips of red cardstock then cut them into 2 in pieces. I edged them with black ink. I used my oval nestabilities for the door. The digital image is from Bugaboo. Could add "dog-gone it -- I forgot your birthday" or "another dog-gone birthday" for sentiment.
