Tutorial

I'm going to show you how to make an ornament for

your Christmas Tree using Bugaboo images

First choose your paper and wood 

then trace the wood on the paper and cut it out

(I bought wood circles at Michaels and had my husband drill a hole in them)

Then glue your paper to the wood on both sides

Then sponge the edges to disguise any flaws

Next choose your Bugaboo image, color it and cut it out

Finally glue the image to the wood and add any embellishments

Add your ribbon and your finished ;)

I paper pieced this image.  

It's the perfect image for it.  I gave this card to

my husbands Aunt when she retired.

TUTORIAL WITH BUGABOO

I must admit that I didn't come up with this adorable idea
all by myself.  I first found it at Inking Idaho an awesome blog that
I follow.  It's actually a tea light battery operated "votive candle" and the
"flame" is used as the nose.

I used these images for the hats:

I reduced the size to 80% on my MAC and then cut the hats out.

I ran the hat in the above image through my sizzix in an embossing folder

after I cut it out for some texture.  I then used hot glue to glue them to the votive.

(after coloring them of course).

For the eyes and mouth I used probably one of my MUST HAVE

embellishments.  I use these little gems ALL THE TIME!!

so fast and easy and so much more user friendly than brads.

they lay almost flat so there's very little bulk to them which is so nice

for mailing.  HERE is a link to a site where you can purchase them but

Michaels also has them in the paper craft department.

Finally I just used Bakers twine for the scarf.

The snowflake used on the one on the right was an embellishment

I found in my stash.

I plan to put magnets on the back of them and put them on my

co-workers lockers at work for Christmas:)

They would also be cute as ornaments too!

lately it has been one crisis after the other.

My Favorite Things (MFT)

is having a Guest Designer contest to find the next

Guest Designer.  And I want to be it in the worst

way!!!!!  I've loved MFT for the longest time

and recently purchased a large order....shhhh

don't tell my husband :) and then I noticed the

Guest Designer contest and knew I had 

to give it a shot!!

Love My Favorite Things stamps 

and "Who's that girl" stamps are probably

one of the BIG reasons why!!!

They are so fun!

And easy to paper piece. 

I fell in love with this stamp set as soon 

as I saw it.

They also carry the "Pure innocence" 

line of stamps and I love those as well.
