The Digi Shack Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! Today is sketch challenge Wednesday over at THE DIGI SHACK .

The sketch is above and below that is the card I made with it.

I love sketch challenges. Have you ever sat down to make a card

only to realize that your MOJO is missing? Well, a sketch is the best

and fastest way to find it again. The work is basically done for you.

Just pick your image and paper and start putting it together.

I even keep a small notepad in my purse to sketch on if

I have a creative moment. I colored the snail with prisma pencils.

The brown piece of paper was run through my cuttlebug then sanded

a little for some added texture and depth. It's kind of masculine

looking too with the colors.

I just love the teddy bear image above also a Cheeky Radish image from

Paper Popsicles Store. I printed it off then I used white out to cover

the existing (drawn on) ribbon then printed it again and added

my own "real life" ribbon. Ahhh, the versatility of digital stamps :-)

Happy Birthday Grandma

I made this set of cards for my Grandma's Birthday gift. I just love these little fairies. So sweet. I got the paper at the $1 store. I think there were 5 sheets and it was all coordinated.... gotta love that. The images are Lilybean from Pollycraft. One of my favorite digi companies. I colored them with Prisma pencils and gamsol. I'm thinking about buying some Copics, I've heard good things about them. What do you think? Worth the money? Anything goes....

Most stampers tend to use A2 or square cards. This week the Design Team was challenged to make a card.....anything goes.......but it couldn't be the standard A2 or square. No problem for me as I absolutely LOVE to make circle cards.....don't know what it is - LOL! Anyone who knows me - knows I love butterflies so this is what I came up with. I watercolored the butterfly with SU watercolor crayons. The scallop circle is a punch. I embossed those lines on there with my Scor-pal. Stop on over to the Digi Shack and see what the DT has got to jumpstart your MOJO.

VACATION

Pollycraft

Pollycraft is having a Design Team call and this is my entry for consideration. I made it for a cousin's daughter who will be 17 in May. I just love pink, black and white. The skull with hearts is "in" these days. I hunted for paper with skull and hearts on it but I couldn't find any so......I googled free skull and hearts image and this is what I came up with. Pretty good huh? Best part.....free. I cut the image out with a nestability die and mounted on a piece of circle paper that I stamped the lines on and cut out. I added a little silver with stickles on the belt and bracelet then tied it together with the silver brads. I think she will like it :-). Thank you Pollycraft for your time and consideration.

THE LAMP IS CUT OUT OF ONE PIECE OF DP AND THE CHAIR, ANOTHER. THE BACKGROUND PAPER IS TEXTURED. I HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH THIS. I FIRST PRINTED THE IMAGE ON THE BG PAPER THEN ON WATERCOLOR PAPER AND COLORED THE LEGS AND THE POPCORN BOWL, REMOTE AND HAND AND THE LAMP POLE. THEN I PRINTED ON EACH PIECE OF DP AND CUT OUT THE CHAIR AND LAMP SHADE. I FOUND THAT IT WORKS BEST IF YOU CUT ON THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE OUTLINE OF THE IMAGE. SO EASY, SO SIMPLE, SO STRIKING. Singing the blues

I love this new digi from The Digi Shack. This fish looks so sad :-( He must be "singing the blues" right. The DP just screams WATER to me. Colored the fish with Prismas and gamsol. Kinda partial to the SU tab punch......I use it a lot. Makes a great filler. I used green brads for the bubbles.

I loved this celery green and lavender paper and thought it would make a great Easter card.

Home - Paper Popsicles challenge

I made this card for the "Home" themed challenge over at Paper Popsicles. I cut strips of red cardstock then cut them into 2 in pieces. I edged them with black ink. I used my oval nestabilities for the door. The digital image is from Bugaboo. Could add "dog-gone it -- I forgot your birthday" or "another dog-gone birthday" for sentiment.

I used a Stampin Up punch for the yellow strips on the top . I've got issues with blank space. I can't have to much of it. Just felt like something was missing. Love this sweet little guy.

The Digi Shack Watercolor Wednesday

I made this card using Stampin Up's watercolor crayons. They are wonderful!! I've used other watercolor crayons in the past and was disappointed. SU crayons blend so easily and nicely. I used plain old cardstock to print The Digi Shack image on. I was going to put "Somebunny loves you" on the outside but decided to put it on the inside instead. I got the sketch for this card from a fellow DT member Carlie. It was her challenge for the blog hop we had last Sunday (It's not too late to participate - See the blog hop order and my challenge post below).

Pool Party

A friend of mine mentioned that she'd like to have a pool party for her daughters

Birthday this summer. I had seen this digi at Bugaboo and couldn't resist making a

sample card. A few months early but I thought it turned out pretty cute. I got the template

a while back on splitcoast.

In-Style stamps has some really cute digi's. Found this in the retro section - happened to have this paper. Quite fitting don't you think? Love these colors together. Gave it to a friend of mine that I go out to coffee with all the time. Prisma and gamsol for coloring. SU punch for the wording on the left side.

2)PUNCH WITH BORDER PUNCH IF DESIRED.

3) TAPE ONE PIECE DOWN ALONG THE TOP OF THE INSIDE OF THE CARD

4) FOLD THE OTHER PIECE IN HALF AND THEN IN HALF AGAIN

(YOU WILL HAVE 3 FOLD LINES ON THE PAPER)

5)TAPE THE TWO ENDS OF THAT PIECE TO THE INSIDE OF THE CARD

ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CENTER FOLD.

Bugaboo Butterfly

This digi is from Bugaboo. There is a whole assortment of these teddy bear butterflies. So cute. The circle in the background is from a pack of paper from Target's $1 spot. Colored the image with prisma pencils and Gamsol. I liked the colors together. Burgundy and orange. I seem to have a serious love for brads lately. They just finish things off.

Butterfly Surprise

Got this image from Bugaboo. The paper is from Target (yes, the $1 spot......I love the $1 spot;). I used Prisma pencils and Gamsol to color the image. Used a Martha Stewert punch for the butterfly on the bears nose. I used a glue dot to adhere the butterfly. Put a little bling in the center of the butterfly also......to add a little somethin' somethin'. I'm really into circles and butterflies. Dreaming of spring.........
